Today I want to talk about five amazing skincare products available by the leading cosmetics brands.
If you’ve not had a chance to read some of my other posts on skincare and the benefits of getting into a good routine, this post is a great place to start.
This wonder product by Bobbi Brown is one of my absolute favourites. It smells incredible and has an amazing balmy texture. It’s neither greasy nor oily. Applies beautifully to the skin and is both a moisturising and hydrating face cream, as well as a primer. It’s got grapefruit, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. I just love this product.
This primer is a best seller from Mac Cosmetics. It’s great for creating that perfect base before applying your makeup. It’s not heavy, greasy or oily at all, though it manages to keep a slight shimmer to it, which just works so beautifully under your makeup for that luminant glow. Another favourite.
This is another best seller by Nars. I was in Selfridges the other day and got to try it for the best time, but I was denied a purchase as it was sold out! And has been for some time, but it’s definitely available online. It’s a lovely textured, lightweight moisturiser that keeps skin radiant and glowing. It has a fresh and subtle smell. Great for all skin types.
Another easy favourite. I’ve written so many posts on Estee Lauder Skincare I might as well join the team! They do it again with this little gem. It’s a lightweight daytime moisturiser that has just enough SPF to keep you covered day to day, without the purple glow of your typical SPF. It smells fresh like cucumber and a little goes a long way. I used this over the summer months under my Vitamin C Facetheory skincare serums and it’s worked a real treat.
Chanel goes big with this one, promising a 5 in one product which promises to unify, moisturise, correct, protect and boost glow. A mouthful I know. It’s got some hero ingredients too including Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C and delivers all this with Factor 50 protection. The downside is it’s tinted, and only comes in about 5 shades. I haven’t tried it so can’t comment on the texture, but come on Chanel, how about a neutral version?
So there you have it, some of my favourite skincare/ make up primers offered by the top beauty brands out there. If you’re not fully invested in a skincare range yet or a routine (psst… you should be) why not start with checking some of these out? Links below.
