I am so inspired by… Kelly’s Journal
Recently, I’ve been making friends with lots of bloggers who inspire me and create wonderful content, and it has been such an amazing experience to connect with people who are passionate, and fulfilled by what they do. I recently wrote a piece for Kelly’s Journal on making time for yourself after discovering and loving her blog, and I thought it would be nice just to kind out a bit more about what makes her happy. I hope you enjoy it.
Guest Interview
Q1. Where is your favourite peaceful place to visit e.g. the place where you feel relaxed, calm and peaceful your home, the beach, paris etc?
I have two places where I go to relax. The first is my bedroom where I enjoy unwinding by watching a film and drinking tea, I’m a tea addict! The second place is the yoga studio, I have been doing yoga for around five years and I love it. I have found it to be a perfect way to relieve stress and remove yourself from the world temporarily to help clear your mind.
Q2. Do you ever feel overloaded with things e.g. work, exams, life etc and how do you deal with it or manage these aspects.
I tend to be a stress free kind of person but occasionally I do feel the pressures of life and have a mini breakdown. When I start to feel like this I start by taking a break and retreat to my room or practice yoga as mentioned just before. Once I feel relaxed, I make a list of all the things that need to be done and start with the smaller, easier tasks. By completing the smaller tasks it provides a sense of achievement and more determined and focused to tackle the rest.
Q3. What is your favourite piece of clothing? Something you wear that you look good and feel confident in?
I like to keep it similar, with black ripped skinny jeans, white t-shirt, black boots or grey Nike trainers with my leather jacket. That is my go to staple outfit that I adore and would probably wear everyday if I could!
Q4. Do you have a favourite song? If so what is it?
Fallingforyou by The 1975, its just a simple stunning song that is so relatable.
Q5. What or who inspires you at the moment, who are your role models and why?
I’m inspired by those who break the norm and do what makes them happy.
Q6. What advice would you give to yourself if you were five years younger?
Say yes to adventures, you have plenty of time to settle down!
