Taking care of your skin is important. Women today are more busy than ever before. If we aren’t making meticulous plans to take over the world (this is definitely me). We are certainly multi-tasking like crazy to get there.
It’s hard enough to manage day to day life with job, family, finances and friends, without finding that things slip from time to time. And whilst I don’ think there is a perfect answer, little lifestyle changes can certainly make the world of difference to everyday life.
One thing I have come to learn over the past few years is that when things start to slip, they usually start to show and quite often – it’s on the face! Poor diet, poor sleep, increased stress will all gravitate to your money-maker first and reveal the unspoken story of what’s been happening with you recently, without you needing to say a word.
If you think about it, it makes sense. If you’re looking well and you’re well rested, don’t your friends comment on how good you look? Or how your skin is glowing? Likewise if you’ve only had 2 hours of sleep for the past 7 days, your face will show it too. Unfortunately no escape.
Life gets in the way sometimes, and this happens to all of us at times, but I just wanted to share with you some advice on achieving beautiful skin and keeping those wrinkles at bay. This all starts with a simple routine.
These 3 steps are a must, and the foundation upon which great skin starts. Clean your skin in the morning for a fresh start and remove all your makeup before you go to bed. Your face will thank you for it in the short and longterm (so will your bedsheets). Clean away the grime of the day and allow your skin the night time to breathe.
The active ingredients of toner will help to mop up anything else your cleanser has missed and smoothen out the skins surface. Toner will reduce the signs of redness and inflammation and helps prepare the skin for your night time serum or cream.
Even oily skin needs a moisturiser, and what better way to pamper your face than at night time. Remember this is the time when your body is going into repair mode. You can afford to be generous at this time and just show your skin some love.
